nu haus, new looks

I have been really enjoying my new studio. If I had only known how much better I could have got, I would have shat golden bricks in giddy exitement.
Ok heres the lowdown........
I have had the grace of working in heritage buildings as studios, but this one takes the cake. It is our own ship. Our own happy bubble built at the turn of the century.
Lets pretend we are standing on the road facing almost a whole block of slate gray towered antiqueness!!...
Starting at the left the renound Nelson Brewing Company, the make beer.My husband used to work there for about 4 years and I remember going in there and smelling pungent hops, and old world machinery, and running water everywhere.
So moving over we have Silver King Tofu. They are a lovely bunch of Nelson originals. They um, well make tofu all day!! and sing, and eat tasty snacks, then theres me and Kim at the Nu haus rocking out in our new studio.
keep moving over to the right my good friend has a commercial Kitchen and they make macaroons, her kitchen partner makes chai, and a new fellow is canning 120 mile diet food there too!! So you can imagine the wonderful smells that waft thru the studio, and the lovely buzz on my level.... ok theres more, lets speed it up around to the alley
custome woodwork, comuter repair, coffee roastery, painting and pottery studios, long ethereal hallways everwhere, leaving the feeling we are on a ship.
This building is so wonderful, and very inspiring. There is something about just wood and nails, no wierd chemical stuffing in the wall. It has a nice hum to it, very organic and old......
We have a sweet view of mountains and the lake, and a hillbilly deck to sit and eat lunch at, ( winter will not be kosher)
So this new space has created a new vibe for Elysium. I really dig it. My hands are taking me not my mind. I let go and surrender to this process, hence to one of a kind run I got going on!!! check it out.....
